Gallery Usage and Privacy Notice
All photographs displayed in this Gallery are published by Bergvliet Primary School for legitimate school communication, educational, archival and community purposes. Many of the individuals depicted in these photographs are minor children. The privacy, dignity and safety of our learners, staff members and members of the Bergvliet Primary School community are of the utmost importance to the School. Photographs displayed in this Gallery are not made available for unauthorised reproduction or secondary use. Visitors to this Gallery may not, without appropriate written authorisation, download, copy, reproduce, alter, manipulate, republish, distribute, share or otherwise use photographs obtained from this Gallery. In particular, photographs of children may not be used, manipulated or distributed for any unlawful, exploitative, harmful, defamatory, inappropriate or unauthorised purpose.
The School processes and publishes photographs strictly in accordance with its applicable school policies, photographic consents obtained from parents and guardians and/or other lawful arrangements which are in place. The Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA), including the provisions specifically regulating the processing of children’s personal information, together with the Children’s Act 38 of 2005 and any other applicable South African legislation relating to privacy, the protection of personal information and the protection of minor children, must be strictly adhered to. The publication or access to photographs in this Gallery does not confer any right on a visitor to use, reproduce, alter, manipulate, publish or distribute those photographs for any purpose. Any unauthorised use, reproduction, manipulation, publication or distribution of photographs obtained from this Gallery may result in the School taking appropriate legal action, including requesting the removal of the photograph or use concerned and where appropriate, referring suspected unlawful conduct to the relevant authorities for criminal investigation.
